Preseason week 2

Ed was the big winner last night and has called the sundial at Commons Park for next week, the last game of preseason.

There were four more rules proposed last night, the first two by Brunn, the second two by myself. I forgot the sheet at home, so I'll have to paraphrase.

#1 - Ban the Kickshot

#2 - The winner of the poison battle can call not only the next park, but can also choose to outlaw the kickshot for the next week.

#3 - The "Over the Line" rule: The poison battle will take place within a predetermined, confined area. If any player ends their turn out of bounds, they are eliminated from the poison battle.

#4 - the "Ron Burgandy" rule: Go fuck yourself San Diego.

So next week, we will have to vote on all the proposed rules before the end of the game. I'll put what we have on a ballot, and if anyone is going to try to get anything else on there, you'll have to move quick and write it in.

Game on!

Preseason Week 1

First off, Red won and has called Berkeley Lake at the Rec Center.

Several new rules were proposed and endorsed by the requisite 5 members.

1st, proposed by John Simpkins - "Kick Ass Rule Proposal": In a poison battle, each player is allotted 15 turns. If the battle is not resolved by the end of 15 turns, the battle is finished and no bonus point is awarded. At this point, the person that killed the most players will decide the next weeks location. If no one has killed any other players, the player that finished their game first will decide the next game.

2nd, proposed by Chris Boyd - "That Game Rule": 30 minutes after the second to last game has finished, the first person to have won their game will drop in at the starting post of the last game. They will start as poison and take their turn at the end of the current game's rotation. Every ten minutes after that the next victor will drop in following the same rules.

3rd, proposed by Carly - "The Sharp Shooter (McGavin)": A player earns an additional point for killing all other players in their game.

4th, proposed by Bergonz:  New rules will be made for the season at a banquet/bar night within one week after the season.

There were a few other ideas discussed, and we tried one out in the poison battle, but nothing else has been written down and endorsed.

See you all next week at Berkeley.
